How does the military pay for your college??

I am so confused as to where to look; marines, army, national guard, navy, coast guard.... and how does is work?? I don't paticularly want to move right now, but traveling internationaly is one of my top priorities. I want to study abroad. Would I be able to do that with them while I was in school? Would I work first and then go to school? I always liked to fly (I've flown cessna's and glider planes) so is the airforce my best bet? Thanks.
