If Humanity abandoned religion for the sake of loving each other, would God be mad?

If humans were to drop Religion in its current incarnation; IE the tenets that have done nothing but divide humanity, only to show genuine and unconditional love for fellow human beings, would God be mad, even though the core message of all religions is love?
