I would not use a blog and provide content to a company so that they would profit from the advertising ociated with the blog page. It seems that this company pays a small fraction to you for content but they make much more money selling advertising on this page. If I were you I would look into companies that offer web hosting services and give you a domain name. From there you can build your own blog, and sell your own advertising on the Internet. It's cheap to start and if you picked up a book from the library on simple HTML and Java script you could have your site up in no time. I would learn the HTML and Java Script, build all the pages, then sign up for web hosting and publish your site. GoDaddy.com is the largest (and probably the best) for offering web hosting services.
