College education !!!?

i started going to a community college in hopes of expanding my education.i'm 26 years old and i want to be a video game programmer or designer. if all goes well i'll be probable 29 or 30 when i do get a ociate degree, i'll have to go to a four year university like LSU or SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY and get a bachelor's degree and i'll still have to find a job in the field i choose. sometimes i feel discourage be cause i see younger students 18-20 and i feel like i'll just to old for this. i really need this because i don't want to be sweeping floors all my life. i'm not ashamed to admit that. can somebody give me some words of encouragement?
