I don't know how to work my shower!?

I recently moved in with my son, and he has a shower in the kitchen. It doesn't have walls or anything, wich i think is weird, but whatever. So anyways i undress and stand there, and I take the shower thing off the hook. It has a double spout! :) So then there are all these numbers. I press them and put in the tempature 50 degrees, because i like my showers cold. Then I press the on that was under the shower head, and now it just keeps beeping. I don't get these knew fancy gadgets. How do you work them? The water still hasn't come out yet!
