South carolina wedding?

I'm planning a south carolina wedding in Texas. I'm only going to south carolina twice before the wedding. I'm having a hard time finding a location in the upstate south carolina that is afforable and that will work with me in Texas. Soon to be husband does not want a beach wedding so if anyone knows a great place or a church that will let us get marred in the church..
